Equus Ferus Caballus.

The Equus ferus Caballus, is one of two extant subspecies of Equus ferus, or the wild horse. With 55 million years in the making, the horse has evolved from a 5-toed animal no bigger than a fox to a figure of many forms; some still short & stocky but others of bold magnificence.
I've recently been getting back into my equestrian roots & after the new Habit Rouge video i posted last week I needed to find more. Here is a few more discoveries into Horses & Fashion featuring actress Kate Bosworth & names such as Hermés & Vanessa Bruno. Here is two passions that I've managed to domesticate & break.

Kate Bosworth as the Horse Princess for Vanessa Bruno.

This Video is Magnificent. This is Horsemanship at its best. from the sounds, to the lighting & even the stallions movements everything is very well done. Plus the collection is amazing.
Hermés Saddle for Christmas please.

Frozen Planet Summer - Studio 805 Collection.

Leopard Printed like the Leopard Seal provide ultimate camouflage

This week on Frozen Planet we explored summer in the Polar Regions.

As the 24hour sun stands strong in the sky, life thrives in the Artic & Antarctic; the Polar Regions enjoy the abundance of wildlife that returns. We look at the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia including the birth place of the fur seal.
Both Antarctic fur seals and elephant seals breed in dense colonies on the beaches of South Georgia. Here, dominant males (bulls) maintain harems of females (cows) in territories - huge aggressive masses of blubber inflicting life scarring wounds with dagger like teeth & crushing calves that lay in their paths.

The Horse and his Boy - Habit Rouge.

Habit Rouge L'eau

I've recently become tangled up in the third installment of the Narnia Chronicles - The Horse and His Boy. A story of two runways who paths meet and join forces together. Horsemanship is a skill that can't be brought & so is friendship.

Thats why when I came across the new ad campaign for 'Guerlain - Habit Rouge L'eau' it was just like a live scene of the first meeting of 'Shasta & Bree - The Horse And His Boys'. The book wasn't quite as glamorous but the chemistry is the same. :)
Directed by Steven Klein & featuring model Ollie Edwards & Hummer (The Horse) this is clip is

Masculinity, Horsemanship & editorial gold.

Fashion & The Frozen Planet.

 Fashion & The Frozen Planet.

The Frozen Planet, the latest piece of Cinematic genius to be launched by the BBC & Narrated by my natural science hero, David Attenborough. The frozen planet is the eye into the wilderness of the Artic & Antartic, looking at wildlife which we may not see again.
My first documentary I remember watching was a VHS called 'The Trials of Life'. I remember being just as wowed & amazed by the animals, plants & scenery then I am now.
Featuring camera work of Barrie Britton, researching skills of Adam Scott & directors like Chadden Hunter.

Despite what you may think, a polar bear's fur is not white.  Each hair is clear hollow tube.  Polar bears look white because each hollow hair reflects the light. On sunny days, it traps the sun's infrared heat and keeps the bear warm at 98 degrees F, helped by weighing 1'400lbs and thick layers of skin. As demonstrated by these thick layered knits by MIHARAYASUHIRO.

Orca, often refferred to as the wolves of the sea. Orcas (Killer whales) are camouflaged so well that prey such as fish, penguins, or seals are likely to miss the danger heading their way, as the killer whale once again proves it is the oceans' superbly designed hunter. MIHARAYASUHIRO demonstrates the 'British' camouflage in Hertitage tweeds & Charcoal pea coats for ultimate winter predator.

'The Frozen Planet' - BBC1 Wednesdays @ 9pm.
