Outfit of the day: Lounge Days.

Outfit of the days: Lounge Days.

Sat on the sofa with the sun coming through the window on a pleasant winter day in London and I have no intention of moving unless completely necessary.
I have been lost in a youtube frenzy for the last two hours and have some how ended up with chilling out to golden oldie tracks; currently playing - "Rod Stewart - Do ya think I'm sexy?"

I was inspired by the seventies when I put this look together (Or my impression of it). I wanted to keep the concept modern so I built the foundation for the look around a navy palette and combined this washed out tan and navy jacket by Club Monaco and Illesteva tortoise shell sunglasses to add those seventies influences. The flash of colour comes from the t-shirt by french brand, AMI.

Outfit of the day: Sunday Suave

Outfit Of The Day: Sunday Suave

This look was built around a boys bedroom I came across looking at apartments in New York. I loved the combination of steel, mahogany wood and the pockets of colour from the accessories and toys. A keep part to all my outfit builds is using an array of texture to provide visual stimulation to a look.

I'm always hugely inspired by interior design and architecture probably due to my dad's career in commercial architecture and his compulsive obsession with redecorating his house.

The book featured in the picture is called
" Cabins by Philip Jodidio"

It explores the idea of the isolated cabin and the architectural innovation accompanying it. Internationally renowned architecture writer Philip Jodidio examines life in a small space and the opportunities for creative thinking and low-impact living - from an artist studio in England to eco-home huts in India. With beautiful photography, illustrations by Marie-Laure Cruschi, and text in English, German and French.
