David Beckham - Esquire Magazine.
David Beckham, a man who has not just been honoured for his
skills with a ball but also his courteous nature, pride in Queen and country
and chiselled good looks.
In his latest shoot for Esquire magazine, we see a ‘matured’
looking Becks modelling a range of worker style clothes whilst what would
appear to be a scrap yard or retired looking garage.
I like the rustic
edge and machine concept to the imagery. The cool colours of a palette of greys
and soft blue are complimented by outstanding pieces such as the rustic red
walls and bronze bath.
Clare Richardson has done a great job with the styling.
Using a variety of winter based working looks, I like Clare’s use of chunky
winter jumpers, aviator jacket and worker boots all tied in with a soft grey
marl jumper.
The styling is very flattering to the David’s age, the location
and Josh Olins’ photography approach.
Personally though, this isn’t my favourite shoot of
David. Not through lack of hard-work of the team but a personally opinion of he’s
wearing too many clothes!
What do you think?
