"Male of Monday's" - Luca Finotti.

 This week's "Male of Monday"...

“And that’s a wrap” –
 Fashion Director, Luca Finotti.

How would I personally describe Luca’s work?
Fresh, stimulating, vibrant.
The Italian bred film director and editor spends life city hoping between the city that never sleeps, New York (Where he is based) and life in Milan. It seems quite fitting that Luca should spend his time between these two cities. As for me, I would personally say I could see a lot of its influence in Luca’s work.

The animation & liveliness of New York bright city lights, noise and colours are easily reflected in his works for Made in Brazil magazine, Jeremy Scott feat Sebastian Sauve & FLOWERWORKS Msgm.

But Luca doesn’t forget his Italian heritage. We can see this in his works for Dolce&Gabbana capturing the true essence of an old Italian family starring Monica Bellucci models Bianca Balti and Simone Nobili. But also in his works Elle Magazine and i-D, which may not necessarily have an openly Italian look but their fashionable charisma could only be placed by an Italian with fashion flair.

He started his career as the head of Video Production for Frankie Morello in 2008. Since then he has directed for magazines like Vogue, i-D, Dazed&Confused, Elle, Hercules, Candy Magazine, Made in Brazil, EY!Magateen and many more. He has also worked with some of the biggest names within the fashion industry including Mariano Vivanco, Nicola Formichetti, Anna Dello Russo and Lady Gaga.

I find Luca Finotti inspirational. Even though I do not know him personally, through following his work (and some interesting street styling!) it’s clear that since that first job at Frankie Morello in 2008, he has evidently stayed true to himself and the credit of his work. Making him features identifiable in an industry where it’s so easy to get lost in crowd.

Congratulations to you sir.
I couldn’t decide what Film’s to show you by Luca Finotti so here is his showreel with many different samples of his work, if your left hungry for more please check out www.LucaFinotti.com
