British Boy & Versace.

It seems mad to be doing a write up on SS12, when there is so much buzz already surrounding autumn/winter 12-13. But after noticing that British model, Ryan Barrett, was the face of the SS Versace campaign.

I couldn’t resist.

The campaign was photographed in Borrego Springs, California by worldwide-established photographers Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott.

Mert & Marcus are quite used to shooting campaigns by now, last year they photographed many of the big name designers from Gucci to Givenchy & Calvin Klein to Tom Ford.

For their take on the Versace campaign, we see Ryan wearing highlights from the SS collection in an empty swimming pool.

With the photos “blue tinted” against the Californian backdrop the images create an azure skyline.

But this effect does not take anything away from the eye-popping pieces of Dontella’s creations.

“Well-done Ryan… keep flying the flag for British Models.”
