‘Slashers’ is an editorial story featured in the latest issue of OUT Magazine. The story is portrayed by Parker Gregory a story that is told of that need to be multiple people with many roles to survive the lifestyle the lifestyle in Beverly Hills. World class photographer, Mariano Vivanco, is behind the lens of this editorial and captures this charming tale.

I really like the concept to this shoot. The story seems viable and realistic which in my opinion I think resonates stronger in menswear editorial. I think this because of what we have become accustom to within our menswear media. Our photo shoots in magazines such as GQ and Esquire don't use the same fantasy that it's female counterparts have. Admittedly, GQ Style and L'Officiel Homme do hold that envisioning ideology but when you think of the Men's magazine stand at the local store the everyday man isn't looking for surrealism but for reality.

I find the colours of this shoot very captivating. They are light and inviting but not feminine; with those muted tones of green, burnt orange, grey working remarkably with the sunlight. A credit to the detailed vision of Vivanco.

Grant L Woodhead portays a great narrative through his styling choices. As I mentioned the colours in the above paragraph the majority of these come from the clothing. Each looks plays the role in portraying the characters of the story. The all grey shopping look is my favourite.

Andy LeComplete and Nicki Mnray have done an outstanding job with the hair and makeup. And my final thought, who ever decided to add those dogs was genius; awesome ways to stop the shots looks static and add texture.
